A farmer had successfully grown the fruit orchard of pome-granate (Punica granatum) and custard-apple (Annona squamosa) in his farm with limited quantity of water. He had dug a trench between two rows of the trees having 1.5 feet width and about two feet depth. This trench is used as water channel. Farm waste and other unnecessary by-product are added in this trench to decompose in the presence of moisture. Root of the fruit trees absorb nutrients and water from the trench.
